Grab a 180gram bag of our traditional flavour Angus & Jack’s biltong. Carefully hand crafted and slowly air dried in one of our biltong driers. Made from the very best free range beef, sourced locally from a couple of Buckinghamshire beef farms. We make the best freshly cut biltong you have ever tasted! I prefer selling the biltong in a special food grade paper bag as the biltong can breathe better. That is how we enjoy our biltong in South Africa! I don’t freeze anything. Ensuring the best texture and flavour. But I will vacuum pack your order if you need it posted, or if you want to keep it for longer.
Keep it in the fridge to make it last a bit longer. Perhaps around a week. But it will keep curing. I would say freshly cut biltong needs to be eaten straight away. The flavour is at its best when you eat it at room temperature. The longer you keep it the more it will cure and it becomes darker and drier over time.
Moisture is Biltong’s worse enemy. Keep it dry. Hence why a paper bag reducing any risk of mould forming. But a paper bag also dries it out faster.
I only sell fresh biltong. I make fresh batches every week. So if l’m out of stock at the time when you place your order, I will make a fresh batch and dispatch as soon as it is ready.
